Choice of Birthplace
There are a number of safe options available to you when deciding where to give birth. Considering your health status, where you live in Ontario and your health care provider, you can opt to give birth at home, in one of the approximately 95 designated birthing hospitals, or at one of Ontario's birth centres. Each setting offers different experiences in terms of labour and pain management, what type of caregiver will care for you in labour, positions for birth, and medical services, if needed. Explore these links to choose what birth environment is right for you.
